I have enjoyed working in academic publishing for 40+ years. I was a linguistics major at Stanford University in the mid 1970’s, then started a publishing career. I knew about TeX from production editors at Addison-Wesley, who were using this amazing new tool to render beautifully math and computer science books.

Several years later, I started using LaTeX for exploratory projects and have since completed projects for many journal article authors. I have also explored the use of linguistic constructs and the rendering of multiple languages in documents. The document pictured partially at left is a re-rendering of a document I wrote in college for a Semantics course. A sample document showing the scripts of many world languages in the same document is provided in the link below.
